BBC High powered Searchlight Sculpture in memory of Fallen Reporters had its annual clean and check up on a very hot August day to ensure it keeps working every night for the 10pm News.
It runs every day for 30 minutes during the evening News reports.
A 200 foot high projection wished the Lionesses ‘Good Luck’ from Baddiel & Skinner which could no doubt even be visable from across the channel in France!
For a football match that will go down in history we hope that the team saw the message before they went on to win in extra time versus Germany in the final.
A massive congratulations to the England Lionesses on their thoroughly deserved victory, they’ve done the nation proud!

20 x High powered search lights were installed on the Control Tower at Dublin Airport.
20:00 hours on Saturday 11th April the search lights were turned on as the whole of Ireland said thank you to their Healthcare and key workers and remember those that have lost their lives.
The search lights will run for 2 months.
